About the Artist
Phil Marshall is a Bay Area painter and printmaker. His works on paper and canvas are primarily abstract, but often combine abstract and representational elements. He creates multi-layered images which include day to day musings, word works, and broad colorful brushwork.
Marshall owned and operated Marshall Arts, a screen printing, embroidery, and design studio in Marin County California for over forty years. His painting studio was located inside the business. In 2021 Marshall moved his painting studio to Mark Drive Studios in San Rafael.
